Welcome to my website for Greece-lovers. And if you don’t know, and thus not love Greece (yet) you will! Just keep reading.
Although I was born in Germany, raised in Greece and live abroad for many years now, I have never seen a country more beautiful, pure and versatile as Greece. And even though I travelled to many other beautiful countries like France and Spain, Egypt and USA I have never seen a brighter blue than the blue of the Greek skies and seas. Once you have experienced it yourself, I’m sure you will understand what I mean.
The rich history, architecture, literature, art and traditions are just a fraction of what Greece has to offer. I’m sure you will also love the people’s hospitality, the food, the many faces of nature, and you will get swept away by its magical sunsets!
Greece has a rich and turbulent history of conquerors, dictators and tyrants that is worth getting a glimpse of. It is as well that very history that has made the Greeks to be as proud, hospitable and optimistic as they are today.
I want to believe that after each negative event follows a positive one, and even though in the last decades Greece has suffered intensely from economic mismanagement and corruption , I believe there is still hope. Because, as I said, Greek’s are optimists, have character, and they have Philotimo *
